WhatsApp link generator
Type your number and a ready message. The link shows up right away, for your Instagram bio or as a QR code.
Brazil (+55). Another country? Pick it from the list or start the number with +.
It shows up already typed when the person opens the chat.
Your link
Type the number to create the link.
Everything happens in your browser: what you type never reaches our server.
How to create a WhatsApp link in 3 steps
Type the number
Pick your country (Brazil, 55, comes selected) and type the number, with or without dashes.
Write a ready message
It’s optional: it shows up already typed when the person opens the chat.
Copy the link
Tap Copy link and paste it in your bio, Stories or anywhere. To print it, tap QR code.
Before sharing, tap Test: the link opens the chat just as the other person will see it.
The right link for your Instagram bio
Instagram lets you add links to your bio, and a WhatsApp link is one of the most used by people who sell or take orders through their profile. With your link ready:
- in the app, tap Edit profile, Links and Add external link;
- paste the link and write a short title, like “Orders on WhatsApp”;
- save, then tap the link on your own profile to check it.
You can also use the same link in Stories, with the link sticker, and in automatic message replies.
Ready message examples
| For | Message |
|---|---|
| Shop | Hi, I saw a product on Instagram and want to know the price. |
| Service | Hi, I’d like to book an appointment. |
| Delivery | Hi, I want to place an order. |
| Creator | Hi, I’d like to talk about a partnership. |
A different message for each place helps you tell where each contact came from: one for the bio, another for Stories and another for the QR code at your shop.
A QR code to print
The QR code leads to the same link. Download it as PNG and use it at the counter, on menus, labels and cards. Print it at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) wide and test it with a phone camera first. For other kinds of codes, like a website link or Wi-Fi, use the QR code generator.
Privacy
The link is built in your browser from what you type. The number and the message never reach our server and aren’t stored. Whoever gets the link sees only your number, as in any WhatsApp chat.
More tools for your profile
Style your name and bio with Instagram fonts, check your caption length with the character counter and, if you’re giving away a prize to your followers, use the random name picker.
Frequently asked questions
What is a wa.me link?
It’s WhatsApp’s official address for opening a chat with a number without saving the contact. Whoever taps the link lands right in a chat with you, in the app or on WhatsApp Web.
How do I add the link to my Instagram bio?
Copy the link, open Instagram, tap Edit profile, then Links and Add external link. Paste the address, give it a title like “Message me” and save.
What’s the ready message for?
It shows up already typed when the person opens the chat, ready to send. It helps people coming from your bio start the conversation, and you know where the contact came from.
Does it work with WhatsApp Business?
Yes. The link opens a chat with the number, whether it’s on regular WhatsApp or Business.
Do I need the country code?
Yes, WhatsApp links need it. Brazil (55) comes selected: pick your country from the list, like the United States (1), or start the number with + and the code.
Does the link expire?
No. The link is built from your number and doesn’t depend on PegaClip. It works as long as the number is on WhatsApp.
How do I use the QR code?
Tap QR code, then Download PNG. Print it at your counter, on a menu, package or business card. Anyone who points a phone camera at it lands in a chat with you.
Does the site keep my number?
No. The link is built in your browser. The number and the message never reach our server and aren’t stored.
Why doesn’t the link open the chat?
Check the country code and the number. If the number isn’t on WhatsApp, the app says so. Tap Test before you share it.
