How to pick a random name in 3 steps

    One per line or separated by commas. Duplicates and blank lines are removed on their own.

  2. Choose how many winners

    From 1 to 100, with no repeats.

  3. Tap Draw

Instagram comment giveaways

The picker doesn’t log in to Instagram or read the comments: you bring the list. A simple way:

  1. open the post on a computer and copy the names from the comments that count, according to the rule you posted;
  2. paste everything here. Blank lines, duplicate names and the leading @ don’t get in the way;
  3. check the number of participants under the list before drawing.

For a transparent giveaway

  • Post the rules first: the prize, who can enter, the deadline and how the draw works.
  • Record your screen while pasting the list and tapping Draw. The video shows the result wasn’t picked by hand.
  • Show the result with a screenshot: it has the date, the time and how many names were in it.
  • Set a deadline for the winner to reply and say what happens if they don’t.

Giveaways run by businesses to promote a brand or product may have legal requirements where you live. If in doubt, check with whoever handles legal matters before announcing.

How the draw works

Every name has the same chance. The random number comes from crypto.getRandomValues, the browser’s generator built for cryptography, not from a predictable formula. With several winners, anyone already drawn is left out of the next spots.

Frequently asked questions

How do I pick a winner from Instagram comments?

Copy the names of the people who commented and paste them here, one per line. The picker removes duplicates and blank lines. Choose how many winners and tap Draw. We don’t access Instagram: you bring the list.

Do people who commented several times get more chances?

No. Duplicate names are removed before the draw, so each person counts once. The leading @ and upper or lower case don’t matter: “@maria” and “Maria” are the same person.

Is the draw really random?

Yes. It uses the browser’s own random number generator, the one used for cryptography, and every name has the same chance. No one, not even us, can choose the result.

Can I draw more than one winner?

Yes. Choose how many, up to 100. Winners come out in order (#1, #2, #3) and no one is drawn twice.

How do I pick random numbers?

Tap Numbers and choose the range, for example 1 to 100. Both ends of the range can come up too.

How do I show the draw was fair?

The result shows the date, the time and how many names were in it. Record your phone screen while you paste the list and draw, and post the video or a screenshot with the result.

How many names fit?

Up to 10,000 names, up to 100 characters each.

Is the list stored?

No. The draw happens in your browser. The names never reach our server and are gone when you close the page.

Can I draw again?

Yes, but each tap on Draw again is a new draw. Agree on the rule with your audience first, for example: the winner has 48 hours to reply, or there’s a new draw.
