How to save videos on iPhone and move them to Photos
Updated on October 18, 2026
On iPhone, Safari saves downloaded files to the Files app, in the Downloads folder. It doesn’t put them in Photos. A website can’t add files to Photos on its own, so this is the same on every site. Once the video is in Files, two taps move it to Photos: Share, then Save Video.
Only save videos you have the right to use, or for your own personal viewing.
Step 1: Download the video in Safari
- In the app where you watched the video, tap Share and then Copy link.
- Open Safari and go to pegaclip.com.br.
- Tap Paste, then tap the small Paste bubble that Safari shows. You can also long-press the box and paste.
- Tap Download. After a few seconds, a list called Your files appears.
- Tap Download video. If there are two video options, HD is the sharper, larger file and SD is the smaller one.
- Safari asks if you want to download the file. Tap Download.
Safari shows the progress next to the address bar. A short video usually takes a few seconds on Wi-Fi.
Step 2: Find the file in Files
- Open the Files app.
- Tap Browse, then iCloud Drive, then Downloads. If you changed Safari’s download location, or iCloud Drive is off, look in On My iPhone > Downloads.
- Shortcut: the Recents tab lists your newest files first.
The file name starts with the platform name, followed by the post’s ID.
Step 3: Save the video to Photos
- In Files, tap the video to open it.
- Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up.
- Scroll down the list of actions and tap Save Video.
The video now shows up in Photos with your most recent items. You can delete the copy in Files to free up space.
Photos and carousels
Each photo has its own button: Download photo 1, Download photo 2 and so on. Download the ones you want. In Files, tap the More button (three dots), choose Select, tap each photo, then tap Share > Save Images.
Audio
Download audio saves an MP3 or M4A file. Photos only accepts pictures and videos, so audio stays in Files. Tap it there to play it.
Change where Safari saves downloads
By default, downloads go to iCloud Drive. If your iCloud storage is full, downloads can fail. To save on the phone instead:
- Open Settings.
- Go to Apps > Safari. On iOS 17 and earlier, tap Safari in the main list.
- Tap Downloads and choose On My iPhone.
On the same screen, Remove Download List Items only clears Safari’s list of downloads. Your files stay in Files.
Using Chrome on iPhone
Chrome also saves to Files, but in its own folder: On My iPhone > Chrome. Moving a video to Photos works the same way.
Common errors
Nothing happens when you tap Download video. You’re probably in a social app’s built-in browser, which often blocks downloads. Tap the app’s menu, usually three dots, and choose Open in Safari or Open in browser. Then try again.
“The download links have expired.” Download links last about 15 minutes. Tap Get new links and download again.
The video isn’t in Photos. It’s in Files. Do Step 3.
There’s no Save Video in the share sheet. Scroll down: it’s in the list of actions below the row of apps. If it’s still missing, check that you opened the video and not the audio file.
The download stops or fails. Check your iCloud storage in Settings > your name > iCloud, or switch the download location to On My iPhone. A weak connection can also cut a download, so try again on Wi-Fi.
FAQ
Why can’t the site save straight to Photos?
iOS doesn’t let websites put files in the photo library. On iPhone, every download site works the same way: the file goes to Files first, then you tap Save Video.
Do I need to install an app?
No. Safari and Files come with iOS.
Does this work on iPad?
Yes. The steps are the same: download in Safari, open Files, then Share > Save Video.
Will the video lose quality?
No. You get the file the platform serves. When there’s an HD option, it’s the best quality available.
I’m the creator. Can I get my content blocked?
Yes. We don’t store videos, but we can block links and profiles from the tool. Use the content removal page. Requests are answered within 2 business days.
