How to download and save videos on Android
Updated on October 18, 2026
On Android, Chrome saves downloads to the Download folder on your phone. From there, videos show up in Google Photos and most gallery apps. You can also install PegaClip as an app. It then appears in the Share menu of other apps: tap Share on a post, pick PegaClip, and the link is already filled in.
Only save content you have the right to use, or for your own personal viewing.
Download a video in Chrome
- In the app, open the post, tap Share and then Copy link.
- Open Chrome and go to pegaclip.com.br.
- Tap Paste. If Chrome asks whether the site can see your clipboard, tap Allow. You can also long-press the box and paste.
- Tap Download. After a few seconds, a list called Your files appears.
- Tap Download video. If there are two video options, HD is sharper and SD is smaller, which helps on mobile data.
- Chrome shows a bar at the bottom while the file downloads. Tap Open when it’s done, or tap the download notification.
For photo posts, each photo has its own button: Download photo 1, Download photo 2 and so on. Download audio saves an MP3 or M4A file.
Find your downloads
- Files by Google: open it and tap Downloads.
- Chrome: tap the three-dot menu, then Downloads.
- Google Photos: go to Collections (Library in older versions) and open the Download folder in the section for photos on your device.
- Samsung Gallery: tap Albums, then Download.
The file name starts with the platform name, followed by the post’s ID. If you download the same file twice, Chrome adds a number, like (1), to the second copy.
To save somewhere else, such as an SD card, open Chrome’s menu > Settings > Downloads > Download location. Turn on Ask where to save files if you’d rather choose each time.
Install PegaClip as an app
Installing takes a few seconds and doesn’t go through the Play Store. You get an icon on your home screen, and the site opens in its own window without the address bar.
- Open pegaclip.com.br in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu.
- Tap Add to Home screen, then choose Install. On some Chrome versions, the menu item is called Install app.
- Confirm. The icon appears on your home screen and in your app list.
Pick Install, not Create shortcut. A shortcut opens the site but doesn’t show up in the Share menu.
Open links from the Share menu
- In the app where you’re watching, tap Share on the post.
- Many apps open their own share panel first. Look for More, Share to, Share via or Other at the end of the row. That opens Android’s share menu.
- Tap PegaClip.
- PegaClip opens with the link in the box. Tap Download.
Some apps share the link with extra text, like a caption or hashtags. That’s fine: PegaClip finds the link in the text.
To keep PegaClip near the top of the menu, long-press its icon there and tap Pin, on phones that offer it.
Common errors
The download doesn’t start. If you opened the site from inside a social app, you’re in that app’s built-in browser, which may block downloads. Tap its menu and choose Open in Chrome or Open in browser.
“The download links have expired.” Links last about 15 minutes. Tap Get new links.
PegaClip isn’t in the Share menu. It was probably added as a shortcut instead of installed. Remove the icon, then install again and choose Install. Also scroll to the end of the row of apps: the ones you use less often show up last.
The video isn’t in the gallery. Some gallery apps take a moment to pick up new files. Open the Download folder directly, or close and reopen the gallery.
The download fails. Check that your phone has free storage, then try again. A dropped connection also stops downloads, so retry on Wi-Fi if the signal is weak.
FAQ
Is the app on Google Play?
No. You install it from Chrome. It’s the same site in its own window, and it doesn’t ask for any special permissions.
How much space does it take?
Very little. The files you download take space as usual.
How do I uninstall it?
Long-press the icon and tap Uninstall, or drag it to Uninstall at the top of the screen.
Does it work in other browsers?
Downloading works in any browser. The install and Share menu steps here are written for Chrome. Other browsers, like Samsung Internet, have their own install option with different menu names.
Where does the audio go?
To the same Download folder. Music apps and Files by Google can play it. It won’t show up in Google Photos.
I’m the creator. Can I get my content blocked?
Yes. We don’t store videos, but we can block links and profiles from the tool. Use the content removal page. Requests are answered within 2 business days.
